The clientele and atmosphere was fun-loving and social; everyone threw their arms around each other’s shoulders and sang to their favorite tunes. The piano players played everything from Dr. Dre to “Sittin’ On the Dock in the Bay”, and all the while my friends and I enjoyed affordable drinks and free people watching.

I actually met some FRIENDS there, which is unusual given the meat-market nature of most night-life venues. How cool is a place where you can just talk to people and bond over your lyrics mastery? It’s the fun of karaoke without the pressure of being the spotlight or the need to dress to impress.
