The Create Columbus Commission is compiling a database of your favorite spots in and around downtown Columbus.
Why? Because your feedback will be used to create fun and interactive walking maps that show off Columbus’ best spots – including favorite landmarks, buildings, views, art, oddities and other sites.
What do you think should be included? What deserves a rightful spot on a walking map that would be shared with residents and visitors alike?
There are two ways to share your thoughts:
- Comment on this post . Let us know where your favorite is located, along with any other information you might know about it - who created it, who owns it, history, etc. Also, let us know why you love it.
- or -
- Visit this link to help populate the What I Love About Columbus database with your favorites.
Thanks for sharing your votes. Stay tuned to this post and the Create Columbus Commission for updates.

Love the Topiary Park. It’s great to walk through on a sunny, pretty day.

The Arena District, especially during Blue Jackets hockey season, and the surrounding Arena District. In particular, the R Bar is the best in town to watch a hockey game. If you’re a hockey fan, visiting or local, then the Arena District is the place to be!

All of our great neighborhoods — German Village, Short North, downtown Westerville, Old Worthington, Gahanna,, Clintonville, Grandview, Bexley — and many more I can’t think of right now. Love including Topiary Park!

My favorite place is Schiller Park in German Village. I like it especially in the fall with all the beautiful leaves changing color. There are always many people out playing ball or walking. It’s a great neighborhood park!

It has to be Huntington Park! There is no better place to spend a summer night in Columbus! Plus it is located within walking distance of the Arena District. What more could you ask for? I don’t even like baseball and I will have season tickets next year!

I have always loved Goodale Park because of all the dogs. There’s really nothing more fun to me than strolling through the park and then out to the Short North to browse the art galleries or grab some food at one of the great restaurants.

Great places include Schiller Park, German Village, Huntington Park, Grandview, the North Market, and the Short North. Actually, I guess there’s too many places to name!

The bike trails along the Olentangy, I love them. Also Tip Top, North Star, Surly Girl, Patty Cake Bakery, Hound Dogs!

I have always loved the Santa Maria and look forward to bringing out of town guests on-board this amazing adventure. Columbus is lucky to have such an interactive centerpiece floating along the Scioto!
