24 hours in Columbus: Visiting friends edition...

If you only had 24 hours to spend in Columbus, what would you do? This was a hard question for me to answer, but I’ve come up with a list of must sees and must dos that I feel will leave any visitor with an experience uniquely Columbus.

We enjoyed this package over New Year's Eve and New Year's Day. This Drury hotel was exceptional and the service was great! You really can't beat the price for all that comes along with it, either!

I would add, Schmidts in German Village where you can get a taste of Columbus' early German culture-world famous Bahama Mammas and Cream Puffs as big as your face.

Ice Skating year round at noon at the Core Comm Ice House, home to the Columbus Blue Jackets or experiencing a real baseball game in the new Clippers stadium where a family can bring a small cooler for each child and bring their own plastic bottle drinks, juice boxes, candy and Cracker Jack and catch a ball and a game in a "Field of Dreams" experience for $5-12 a person.

The zoo is also offering safari tours where for a price $200-300 your family can schedule a one of a kind tour with Baby Beco, the zoo's baby elephant or swim with the manatees in their tank.

This mom of 3 boys, 3, 12 and 14 loves Columbus too!
