Dine Originals Week returns!
Mark your calendar to dine out March 8-14, when the 40 locally owned restaurants of Dine Originals Columbus will offer 7 days of original menus .
Aside from being delicious, Dine Originals Week menus are specially priced at $10.10, $20.10 or $30.10. A portion of the proceeds will support the education programs of Local Matters , a Central Ohio nonprofit that works to make local, healthy food accessible to everyone in our community.
Reservations are strongly encouraged, so go on and make one. Or two. Three?
There is no better time to support the local food scene and visit an old favorite or try something new.
A giveaway! Win a $50 Dine Originals Columbus gift certificate
To celebrate Dine Originals Week, we have a $50 gift certificate to give away to one lucky reader. It’s redeemable at any Dine Originals Columbus restaurant.
To enter, comment on this post and list at least one Dine Originals Columbus restaurant that you plan to visit during Dine Originals Week.
You can check out the full roster of Dine Originals Week menus here . If you’re familiar with Columbus restaurants, I think you’ll agree that this is an amazing lineup of some of Central Ohio’s best fare.
You must comment by 4:30 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 26 . After that time, we’ll select one random commenter to win.
UPDATE: The entry period has ended. Congratulations to our winner, Cory (#21)!

My new years resolution was to buy, eat, play locally! This has worked well because we are discovering some great eateries! My favorite area restaurant right now is Betty’s Fine Food & Spirits.
February 25th, 2010 at 3:44 pm
Barcelona. Their hummus is to die for… seriously.
February 25th, 2010 at 3:46 pm
I agree with Marie- Betty’s is a place great to eat! I love their Frank’s Red Hot Chicken. I wish I was able to go out and eat more!
February 25th, 2010 at 3:52 pm
Barcelona! I’ve been wanting to try it again. Only been there once.
February 25th, 2010 at 3:54 pm
We’re going to try Mezzo! Looking forward to going to a new (for us) Italian place!!
February 25th, 2010 at 3:56 pm
So many great local places on that list — can’t wait to try a new one! But I definitely will be stopping by Mezzo in Gahanna. We threw my mom a surprise birthday party in their private dining room, and everything was wonderful! Beautiful decor, great food and outstanding service!
February 25th, 2010 at 3:56 pm
Wow! Of those listed I’ve only been to Worthington Inn! Heard great things word-of-mouth about: Surly Girl Saloon, Alanas, Bodega, and Columbus Brewing Factory. But, I think I’d like to start out by trying out The Refectory!
February 25th, 2010 at 3:58 pm
I’m dreaming of using this gift card at Barcelona during restaurant week!
February 25th, 2010 at 4:02 pm

February 25th, 2010 at 4:23 pm

February 25th, 2010 at 4:33 pm
Banana bean! It is one of my favorites!!!
February 25th, 2010 at 4:42 pm
That G. Michael’s menu looks pretty fab. They’re definitely a Columbus gem.
February 25th, 2010 at 5:03 pm
Using Dine Originals Week as an excuse to introduce my husband to Alana’s and Katzinger’s Deli. Who knows what else we’ll do that week. I seriously love Dine Originals Week!
February 25th, 2010 at 5:19 pm
Press Grill
February 25th, 2010 at 5:33 pm
Locavores unite! It’s hard to pick a favorite from the list - from Black Creek, Deep Woods, Alana’s, G. Michael’s, L’Antibes to the Lessner Dynasty properties (Betty’s, Tip Top, Surly Girl and more), to my favorite local history-rich brewery, the Elevator, to closer to home at Gahanna’s Mezzo….a huge wealth of culinary talent is represented right here in our own city. No need to hop a plane for an amazing gourmet evening out!
To pick just one is almost cruel - but we have yet to visit the Refectory, Z. Cucina or Luce Enoteca. So one of those is the next yummy experience! Maybe, just maybe the Inn at Cedar Falls could be quite the getaway!
February 25th, 2010 at 5:34 pm
That crab manicotti from The Elevator looks good - I think I’ll start there!
February 25th, 2010 at 5:42 pm
Rigbys and Alanas!
February 25th, 2010 at 5:42 pm
Z Cucina!

Going to the Refectory.
February 25th, 2010 at 5:55 pm

February 25th, 2010 at 6:04 pm

February 25th, 2010 at 7:41 pm
After reading nearly EVERY menu on the list, I am going to stick with my favorite atmosphere in town: Surly Girl Saloon. I see the chance to try a few things I haven’t yet savored!
February 25th, 2010 at 7:45 pm
Would definitely like to try out Alana’s!
February 25th, 2010 at 8:17 pm
I’ve been wanting to try Wildflower Cafe on Indianola for a long time. I drive by it all the time and heard great things from a friend a few weeks ago. I also LOVE Tip Top - the best sweet potato fries ever.
February 25th, 2010 at 8:45 pm
It wouldn’t be Restaurant Week without a trip to Alana’s, although I’d like to try Luce this time around as well. Thanks!
February 26th, 2010 at 8:43 am

February 26th, 2010 at 10:33 am
