Columbus festival season is on, and the giveaways continue!

Festival season continues in Columbus, and so do the giveaways.
Like we mentioned last month , members of the Greater Columbus Events Council are helping us celebrate lots of events by sharing lots of prizes.
This time, we’re featuring July and August happenings, and the ante is definitely upped: FIVE LUCKY READERS will win the following:
- A North Market Food & Ohio Wine Festival package, which includes a $20 North Market gift certificate and 2 entries to the preview party
- A VIP parking pass to Jazz & Rib Fest
- 2 tickets to the Ohio State Fair
- 2 tickets to the Dublin Irish Festival
To win is easy:
Simply leave a comment below, and name at least one July or August Columbus festival or special event you plan to attend this year. If you need a few ideas, visit this list of Greater Columbus Events Council members.
One entry per person, please. All entries must be posted by noon on Tuesday, July 6 . After that, we’ll randomly select five winners who are going to have a lot of fun this summer. Good luck!

The best special event year after year has to be the Jazz and Rib Fest. It brings together two of my favorite things in the world - food and music!
I was surprised by the move to the Arena District last year, and think it’s just as great as when it used to be down by the river.

We started going to the Dublin Irish Festival a few years ago and plan on going back again this year. Our favorite time is to go to the Whiskey Tasting, grab some Irish food, and watch the bands. Except for missing Guinness, you’d think you were in Ireland for the day.

What festival won’t we be going to? We love all of them. Festival season is one of the best times of the year for me. We love to go to the Irish Festival. My husband and I dated by doing celie dancing and we danced an Irish waltz at our wedding 14 years ago. The festival always brings back those sweet memories.

We have an Ohio State Fair tradition with our friends—every year there seems to be a new baby asleep in the stroller! We’re going to keep it going, perhaps without the new babies this year!

I love all the Westerville Fourth Fridays. Something to look forward to once a month. Lots of vendors–food, crafts, jewelry, churches/organizations, local businesses. Entertainment–martial arts, puppet shows for kids, storytime for kids, balloons, magician, dancing, music….and much more! Plus, all the unique Uptown shops stay open later.

Went to the Ohio State Fair for the 1st time last year. It was an amazing all day event. Our son who is disabled loved the monkey show and endless amounts of ice cream. However, we all agreed that the deep fried snickers bar requires a unique set of taste buds. We would love to go again this year as there was a lot to do even for our son. Have not been to all the other festivals, but would love to go!

We’ll be at Red White & Boom tonight — wouldn’t miss it for the world, since it will be the start of a fireworks trifecta for the weekend (RWB, Picnic With the Pops, and Clintonville’s on the 4th). Also definitely hitting the State Fair later this summer.

The Ohio State Fair! I moved to the Greater Cincy area from California only a few months ago.
Each year I baked and entered pies and other recipes in the fair and have several ribbons too.
Can’t wait to see and enjoy all the fun Ohio represents.

Love the North Mkt, especially when the Farmer’s Mkt is in session, but the Jazz & Rib fest, by far is the best source of entertainment. where else can one see a line-up of local & nationally-known artists, all at NO costs! the food isn’t bad either :-)
