How to Be the Best Crew Fan Ever

The long wait is over; America’s Hardest Working Team is back in action! The Crew kicked off their 17th season on March 2 against Chivas USA and had exciting home-opener March 16 against San Jose. The perfect way to kick-off your Crew game experience is to tailgate in the parking lot surrounding the stadium. Numerous fans can be found grilling up their specialty food while playing a pickup game between the cars. Worried about finding a spot? Don’t be – there are nearly 4,000 paved spots available for parking each game.
If tailgating isn’t your cup of tea, check out some of the Crew Pubs around town. From Fado Irish Pub at Easton to Jimmy V’s in Grandview and BBR in the Arena District, you’ll find a bar that fits your mood. For a complete list of the Crew Pub Tour, click here (http://www.thecrew.com/content/pub-tour).
If you’re a truly passionate Crew fan (and who isn’t?!) the Nordecke is the place for you. This is the section of the stadium with fans that bring the atmosphere of an English Premier League game right here to Columbus. To find out what life is really like in the Nordecke, check this page out.
Lastly, you can’t go to a Crew game without looking the part. Lucky for you, there are several options available to find that perfect Crew outfit. One option is the official team store right as you enter Crew Stadium. They have a plethora of the latest Crew apparel that will only add to your enthusiasm level. The Experience Columbus Visitor Center in the Arena District has not only Crew t-shirts, but a variety of Columbus-based shirts and items to choose from. Another tried and true option is Homage in the Short North and at their new location in Easton Town Center.
