The Building Industry Association of Central Ohio (BIA) is a tax exempt and incorporated trade association of single and multiple family housing builders, developers and remodelers doing business in the central Ohio area. Other members include subcontractors, suppliers and service professionals. Founded in 1943, and affiliated with the Ohio Home Builders Association and the National Association of Home Builders, the BIA's primary services include legislative and regulatory representation, development of favorable public perceptions of the industry, promotion of business standards and support of home ownership. The following is a list of the BIA's annual home shows in central Ohio: The Parade of Homes is a single-site tour held every summer, featuring the latest in new home construction, landscaping, interior design and technology (www.biaparade.com). The Showcase of Remodeled Homes is a two-day scattered site tour in the spring, featuring everything from whole house renovations and additions to indoor and outdoor living areas (www.biahomebuilders.com/shows-and-events/showcase-of-remodeled-homes). CondoQuest is a scattered site tour held each spring and fall, featuring new condominiums, townhouses, patio homes and cluster housing (www.columbuscondoquest.com). HomeQuest is a scattered site tour held in the spring, featuring new single-family homes (www.biahomequest.com).
