Located in the heart of downtown Columbus, The Ohio State University Urban Arts Space joins the university with the state of Ohio and the world, functioning as an arts laboratory for Ohio State faculty and community artists and serving as a professional launching pad for Ohio State students. The OSU Urban Arts Space challenges ways of thinking about the performing and visual arts and their role in everyday life through conversation, art-making, and experimentation. The Space encourages transformative experiences that expand worldviews, offers hands-on practical experiences in the arts and education, and develops new career skills to reflect an entrepreneurial culture

Operated by a staff of OSU students and alumni, the Space offers guided exhibition tours, free public receptions and programs (family-friendly art activities, music and dance performances, film screenings, workshops and more), and an ongoing call for entries through a student-run gallery and grant initiative, City Center Gallery. Visit us at 50 W Town Street, in the historic Lazarus Building. Gallery hours are Tuesday through Saturday, 11am-6pm, with extended hours until 8pm on Thursday. All exhibitions and programs are free and open to the public.
