The Asian Festival 2011 will offer weeklong activities, beginning with an art exhibit at COSI(May 18-May 30th), Dragon Boat event(May 21st) at Genoa Park, Culinary activities culminating into Asian Festival on May 28th and May 29th, 2011. - Dragon Boat Exhibit at Genoa Park on Scioto River in Downtown Columbus on May 21st, 2011-9:00am-2:30pm - Culinary Activity at Community Gardens, Franklin Park on May 22nd and May 24th. This activity requires pre-registration. - Asian Festival at Franklin Park Conservatory, May 28-29, 2011. Insight into the past, present and future of Asian culture. This year's focus artists are from Japanese and Filipino communities. Sat., May 28: 10 a.m.-9 p.m. Sun., May 29: 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Franklin Park Conservatory 1777 East Broad Street Columbus, Ohio 43203 Cultural exhibitions, food, entertainment, children's activities, health, market place, job fair and sports activities. The Dragon Dance from local trained youngsters will be featured both at the Dragon Boat event and Asian Festival. This year's newly introduced Dragon Boat event on Scioto River in Downtown Columbus on May 21st. The Culinary activity at Community Gardens in Franklin Park on May 22nd & May 24th. The entertainment will be from India and China, in addition to Philippines, Japan, Korea and Southeast Asian countries Takraw tournament will be part of this year's Asian Festival.
