Design Consciousness is a blog that serves as an extension of Carl Garant's personal quest to explore, discuss and unveil those cryptic characteristics that surround the phenomenon we recognize as design. Through short investigative commentaries, Garant proposes that design has an intimate and paradoxical relationship with consciousness and that this awareness is fundamental to the creation and realization of design's matrix. He sees the relationship between design and consciousness as being symbolic in nature and a deep-seated, universal principle. Each post represents a small step on this personal expedition, a journey that strives to bring forth an awareness of the strength and power of the design function.
