Artisan Spirits and Microbrews
Locals are brewing great beers, including wheat beers, IPAs and full-bodied delicious Belgian-style ales using water from an on-premises source. Two award-winning micro-distilleries have opened for business in Columbus, too. Because of Middle West Spirits and Watershed Distillery, Columbus can now proudly serve its own vodkas, gins, whiskeys and, in 2013, bourbon.
Takin' it to the Streets
Columbus is on the leading edge of the hottest trend in the nation's culinary scene - food trucks. You'll find everything from artisanal grilled cheese sandwiches, including the $100 "Jackie O" (black truffle cheese, creme fraiche and caviar) and the $3 "Boarding School" (American on white) to exotic Japanese crepes and takoyaki (spherical pancake/dumpling Japanese snack food).
Carnivale in Columbus
One of the most talked about and highly anticipated Halloween events in the Midwest, Columbus' wildly popular Highball: Masquerade on High celebrates the art of design and masquerade. The signature focal point of HighBall is a dramatic runway/stage built on the street under the iconic glowing Short North arches.

New Food Truck Tour To Launch this June
Columbus Food Adventures currently runs eight food tours, including a Meat Lovers, Alt Eats and a Short North Walking tour. This June 8, they will be adding another tour to the lineup: a Food Truck Lovers tour that will take explorers to several of Columbus’ non-Latino food trucks.
