Looking to host an event that is near the Convention Center? Consider looking at venues in one of our "Five on High" neighborhoods - five districts that sit on a five mile stretch of High Street, the city's main thoroughfare and easily walkable or a short free CBUS circulator ride from the Convention Center. Those districts include:
OSU/University District - Just two miles north of downtown and accessible via CoGo Bike Share and COTA buses, the University District includes the massive campus of Ohio State, along with its sports venues, nightlife spots, restaurants and hotels.
Short North Arts District - Directly north of downtown Columbus and steps from the Greater Columbus Convention Center is the fast-paced Short North Arts District. As soon as you see distinctive lighted arches over High Street, you’ll know you’ve entered this creative neighborhood filled with art galleries, local boutiques and hip restaurants and bars.
Arena District - Directly north and west of downtown Columbus lies the Arena District, a vibrant neighborhood filled with restaurants, bars, condos and offices and home to the historic North Market.
Downtown/Franklinton - A hub of hotels, ranging from ritzy to limited-service, make downtown an ideal place to meet and explore Columbus’ neighborhoods. Franklinton in West downtown is Columbus' innovation neighborhood and experiencing a renaissance as a new center for the city's maker culture and independent art scene.
German Village/Brewery District - Located just south of downtown Columbus, German Village and the Brewery District are one of the most atmospheric neighborhoods in the Midwest. Originally built by German settlers in the mid-1800s, the lovingly restored brick houses, shops, streets and sidewalks are full of historic charm and modern swank.
