All Eyes on Columbus for The Presidents Cup 2013

Every two years, the best golfers from the United States compete against the best players from around the world - excluding Europe. This prestigious competition, The Presidents Cup, is coming to Central Ohio Oct. 1-6 at Muirfield Village Golf Club in Dublin, and whether you're an avid golf fan or just like to practice your putting, there's going to be a lot to explore while the golf world's attention is focused right here on Columbus.
First: The golf. Tickets are still available - but act soon to be assured entry. Fred Couples and Nick Price square off as team captains, and as we speak, the best golfers are competing for spots on their respective teams. The Presidents Cup competition consists of 34 matches -- 11 foursomes (alternate shot), 11 four-ball (better ball) matches and 12 singles matches involving all players on the final Sunday. All matches are worth one point each, for a total of 34 points. If that's too inside-baseball for you - just know - you will be seeing some darn good golf! If you're on a budget, tickets to the practice rounds (Oct. 1 and 2) are available for $44.
Travel packages are available , all of which include a ticket to the tournament - everything from the full six days to trips that include just one overnight. Some packages get you access to VIP events like a Friday night party, official Presidents Cup merchandise and discounts.
