Alternative Fashion Week Shows off Columbus' Style
March 25, 2014
The Alternative Fashion Mob is changing the fashion game in Columbus with Alternative Fashion Week, April 19-26. The lineup of interactive programming is geared to make the traditionally exclusive fashion industry accessible and appealing to a wide range of people.
he week includes a range of fashion-themed events and collaborations. Led by Kelli Martin, who is a Project Runway Season 5 veteran, local fashion designer and the owner of Anti.Label clothing line, the events are affordable, focus on a large range of styles, are participatory, and are a lot of fun. Collaboration is a theme, with fashion industry folks working alongside people from other walks of life to produce many of the events.
The crowning event of Alternative Fashion Week will be on Saturday, April 26 in the creative hub of Franklinton, and features all-original, full collections by 10 unique local designers and mini-collections by 10 more designers.
