As we've shown you all week, there is no shortage of places in Columbus where you can find great food and great beer. Bodega ranks among the top choices for a causal night out, right in the heart of the Short North Arts District. Long known for its huge and high-quality beer selection, Bodega's chef, Marcus Meacham, has been quietly boosting its food offerings (yes, you can still get $1 grilled cheese sandwiches on Monday nights.) Mussels and fries, shrimp and grits and hanger steak are just a few ideas of what Bodega has in store.
The menu at Bodega changes weekly - You can check their menu online before you go, but you can also be confident that you'll find a dish that's both creative and affordable. Many menu item glam-up comfort food staples, and others are wholly original creations.
Bodega offers 50 craft beers on tap, as well as at least 100 more specialty brews in bottles. Servers are extremely helpful in pairing menu items with the perfect beer. There are even some beer cocktails to choose from, including the highly recommended Italian Summer, which pairs a tart saison with bitters and grapefruit juice. The restaurant collaborates closely with the nearby Seventh Son Brewing Company, and offers most of its unique craft brews.
