For those of you that missed out on (614)’s Restaurant Week Columbus at the end of July – fear not! A new week-long dining event - Farm to Plate - starts this Friday, Aug. 10.

Given Central Ohio’s roots in agriculture, it comes as no surprise that many of our independent restaurateurs like to showcase local ingredients in their menus, and that many of us diners love to try these items featuring foods grown not far from home. “Farm to Plate,” organized by Crave Magazine and many other collaborators, celebrates the locavore movement.
This Friday through Aug. 19, more than 40 restaurants in and around Columbus will have special fixed-price menus highlighting fare containing at least 70% locally grown ingredients, from produce to dairy and meat products.
Below is a list of participants, but be sure to check out their menus and learn more at cravefarmtoplate.com. And, don’t forget to tell us in the comments whose menu you’re most looking forward to trying!
