I saw it Friday and can tell you that if you enjoy dance or classical music, this is a must see. Combining avant-garde dance with Mozart’s Mass for the Dead it is a powerfully moving piece.

CATCO is playing The Last Smoker in America , and for Experience Columbus Days they're offering 50% off tickets to the October 10 matinee. This show is an irreverent musical comedy set in an America where smoking has been made illegal. I am anxiously awaiting to see it this evening. The Columbus Museum of Art will offer free admission Oct. 8-10. They are currently renovating their historic building, but you still take in three great exhibitions. The Bible Illuminated , an exhibition based on seminal comic artist R. Crumb's adaptation of the Book of Genesis. Complaints Choir , the first of its kind in a U.S. museum, features a video of the performance of a hometown volunteer choir singing local resident complaints set to original music. Fur, Fins & Feathers , a family-friendly show highlighting depictions of animals in works in CMA's collection.

The Columbus Symphony will offer half off tickets to its performances of Scheherazade! on Oct. 9 and 10 at the Ohio Theatre. You can get the discount at the box office.

Enjoy buy one get one free admission to the Franklin Park Conservatory throughout Experience Columbus Days. Here you can enjoy their Chihuly collection , James Turrell light display and the Savage Gardens exhibition, which features carnivorous plants and sculptures by Tork Studios.

Opera Columbus is bringing Berlin to Broadway to the Lincoln Theatre. You'll be able to get half off the 8 p.m. performances on Oct. 7 and 8, but note that tickets are limited and not available until 6 p.m. on show night. I cannot wait to go see this on Friday and hear the song Mack the Knife performed.
