The Wizard World Ohio Comic Con comes to the Greater Columbus Convention Center Oct. 31 -Nov. 2. Thousands of fans will be on hand to celebrate the best in pop culture: movies, comics, cosplay, toys, video gaming, television, gaming, original art, collectibles, contests and more.
Franklin Park Conservatory joins in the spooky fun with a short-run exhibition called Scary Plants. Carnivorous plants, like the Venus fly trap and the native Ohio pitcher plant are on display, and larger than life sculptures give you a bug's eye view of these monstrous beings.
Scary movies are a big part of Halloween fun, and the Gateway Film Center has you covered. Check out their Hitchcocktober series for some classic suspenseful thrillers. For something a little more mild, Gateway Film Center also offers Heebie Jeebie, a family-friendly Halloween movie series, including Wallace & Grommit's the Curse of the White Rabbit and the Addams Family. Kids will get a trick-or-treat goodie bag filled with stickers, candy and Halloween craft supplies.
