Wearing a mask is a sign of kindness, of compassion for your community. In Columbus, it's also required that face masks be worn by individuals regardless of vaccination status while in indoor spaces accessible to the public. Exemptions to the order include those younger than 6 years of age; individuals with medical or behavioral conditions that preclude them from wearing a face covering; and anyone actively eating and drinking, engaged in sports and recreational activities, and giving a speech or performance before a live audience. Read the official ordinance here. Similar requirements exist across the entirety of Franklin County.

We care about our community and encourage anyone venturing out of their homes to be considerate of the people around you. When you visit a store, pick up a carry-out order or enjoy a park, remember that there are employees and other community members all around you who will benefit from your effort. It's an easy way to help slow the spread of COVID-19.

While wearing a facial covering may not feel normal at first, we're all in on making them a part of daily life. Share your mask selfies, and who you're wearing a mask for with #MaskUpCbus
