We’re all looking for fun ways to ring in 2016, and Columbus will have no shortage of parties to attend. Here are a few suggestions if you’re in the mood for big parties with lots of food, drink, dancing, and more.

Several hotels downtown host big New Year’s Eve bashes. The Hyatt Regency downtown features local bands and DJs, drinks, hors d’oeuvres, and a breakfast buffet the next morning.

The Renaissance Hotel hosts an epic party that night: lots of music, food and drink, a photo booth, and dancing. With weather as balmy as we've been having, you may even get to enjoy the rooftop pool area!

The Sheraton on Capitol Square is starting a new casino night for New Year’s Eve, complete with live bands and DJs, casino games, and dancing.

If you want the feel of Times Square right here in Columbus, head to the Garden Theatre in Short North. They’ll be showing the Times Square feed live, and the night includes local bands, cocktails, a champagne toast, and plenty of dancing.

First Night Columbus at COSI is a family affair loaded with fun all night long. The science center is open late with games and activities, there are movies on the big screens, cartoons from the Columbus International Film & Video Festival, and more. The band Radio City finishes out the night playing outdoors, with a big fireworks celebration to ring in 2016. Visit the First Night website for tickets and details.

Shadowbox Live is always a raucous good time, and New Year’s Eve will be no exception. There will be dancing, a champagne toast, a dinner banquet, and music from the house band BillWho?

Wild Goose Creative hosts a Prohibition-style party with appetizers, a DJ playing swing music, a photo booth, and much more. Tickets must be purchased ahead of time, and the event is BYOB.

Those are a few ideas for you! Where do you plan to spend New Year’s Eve?nye
