The Midwest's largest pride event starts this Friday, June 15, and more than 200,000 people will join in the fun celebration! There's so much going on that you''ll never be able to see it all. So here are our tips for getting the most out of the Pride Festival.

Columbus Pride Festival

  • The parade kicks off on Saturday (June 16) at noon at Broad and High and makes its way north down High Street to Buttles before ending in Goodale Park. Arrive early to get a good spot. The parade is so big that in past years, it's gone on for several hours.
  • Check out the concerts and performances running most of the day Friday and Saturday at Goodale Park's Gazebo and Shelterhouse stages
  • Sports fans can find a Columbus twist on softball Sunday, June 17, at the Bat-n-Rouge drag softball tournament at Dodge Park in Franklinton. Your hosts will be local drag celebrities Nina West and Virginia West, with special appearances by Flaggots Ohio (a flag corps) and Latrice Royale, fan favorite from Ru Paul's Drag Race
  • The Pride Art Show is on display at Spinelli's Deli on Neil Avenue, near the south end of Goodale Park. Check out works by several LGBT artists, and a grab a great sandwich for lunch
