Restaurant Week Review: Vino Vino and Figlio

I never need an excuse to head to Figlio or Vino Vino in Grandview Heights, but 614 Restaurant Week is a great one to visit both! I can never pick a favorite between the two, and lucky for me I don’t have to since they are connected.
I love to head to Vino Vino for their happy hour drinks and small plates. If you are looking for a truly scrumptious bite to eat, their asparagus bruschetta is to die for. What is not to love about salty meat, fontina cheese and asparagus on some crusty bread?
Figlio, is known for their wood fired gourmet pizza. When you go there, you are not going to get the normal pepperoni pie. Their versions of a pizza contains ingredients like pesto, smoked gouda, goat cheese, wood roasted garlic and honey glazed bacon to name a few. My favorite pizza on their menu is the pesto chicken with feta. Garlicky pesto with pine nuts, feta and grilled chicken (so it’s healthy right?) on top of fresh, house-made dough. It is a go to dish and also on their restaurant week menu!
