Rivage Atlantique's Back Room Brings Dining Deals

I keep a running list on my refrigerator of restaurants that I want to try in town, but this time I took the advice of a colleague and ventured to the Back Room at Rivage Atlantique, at 652 High Street in Worthington.
The Back Room has multiple dining options. One can order from their smaller gastro-pub menu, the full dinner menu, as well as the chef’s feature menu every day after 4pm (Monday-Friday). Now, happy hour is a whole other story. It’s available only in the Back Room from 4-7 p.m. Monday-Friday and 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday. Not only does happy hour feature drink specials, but tasty food specials as well.
I visited the Back Room for lunch on a Saturday and started with the Organic Field Greens salad with a house-made vinaigrette. The salad was true to its name with nutritious field greens (no iceberg there!), baby tomatoes, buttermilk blue cheese, red onions and walnuts. My friend ordered the lobster roll, which was on a happy hour special, and it was small, but delicious. So delicious in fact, he didn’t leave me time to take a picture to share with you! We also ordered the Cuban Sliders, which won the approval of my friend who is a Cuban sandwich connoisseur. Finally, I ordered the Free Range Chicken Carnitas with pulled chicken and goat cheese (love it!) all served with fresh pico de gallo and guacamole.
The bar is pretty substantial with an extensive list of craft beers, cocktails and wine. If you go, try a martini because I sat and watched the bartender hand stuff countless olives with blue cheese. While I was there for lunch, it seemed like the perfect place for a cozy happy hour with friends or even a great date spot (take the hint, guys!)
So whether you’ve just shopped at the Worthington Farmer’s Market or are on your way home from work, check out the Back Room and stay a while.
