ZipZone, the only Columbus zip line tour, celebrated its grand opening this past July. The professionally trained guides will take you on a two-hour tour showing you a natural space in Columbus you never imagined. Zip from platform to platform high in the air as you travel over ravines and streams! Climb across one of our sky bridges as you explore the beautiful old growth trees.

This tour is perfect for families, couples, adult groups or anyone looking for an adventure. We welcome guests age 8 and up to experience the excitement and beauty at ZipZone Canopy Tours. Located just north of 270 off of 23 North at Camp Mary Orton, ZipZone offers adventure seekers a chance to fly through the trees on zip lines and climb sky bridges over different elevations and descents.

ZipZone Canopy Tours evolved from owners Jerrod and Lori Pingle’s desire to bring zip lining to Columbus. As owners of Get a Grip Adventures, LLC, they have years of experience in training staff, performing safety inspections, and consulting for zip lining tours around the nation. Now, Lori and Jerrod bring their expertise to set up an exciting zip line tour in the heart of central Ohio.

Finding the ideal location for ZipZone was easy. Lori and Jerrod were both very familiar with the steep ravines, rushing streams and beautiful old growth oaks of Camp Mary Orton after attending many camps there. Before ZipZone built their Columbus zip line tour, central Ohio residents had to travel an hour and a half to the nearest tour.

Environmental protection and conservation are at the core of ZipZone’s philosophy. Working with Climbworks, a tour design and construction company, ZipZone has made environmentally-friendly building techniques essential. Making intensive yet eco-friendly changes like building hiking trails instead of road systems, limiting tree intrusions, and reducing soil compaction will help to ensure the health of the trees for years to come.

ZipZone, the first Columbus zip line tour, is now open to the public, and offers tours 7 days a week. Tickets are $64.00 per person on weekdays and $69.00 per person on weekends for a two-hour tour. To learn more about ZipZone or check availability and book a tour, visit
