As we welcome meetings, groups and sporting events back to our city, Columbus is dedicated to working alongside community partners to create seamless safety protocols while following local, state and federal public health requirements.
Here’s what you need to know about Columbus’ commitment:
The Global Biorisk Advisory Council’s GBAC STAR™ Accreditation is the cleaning industry’s only outbreak prevention, response and recovery accreditation for facilities. Currently, 8 Columbus businesses are accredited while 6 others are pursuing their accreditation. Learn More
The Ohio State University, supported by CloroxPro, is offering a free, online course providing foundational knowledge about infection prevention and practical tips to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
Protocols businesses must follow to reopen:
Require face coverings for employees and recommend them for clients/customers at all times
Limit capacity to meet social distancing guidelines. New state mandates permit sports and entertainment venues to reopen with 25% of maximum indoor capacity and 30% maximum outdoor capacity
Conduct daily health assessments by employers and employees (self-evaluation)
Maintain good hygiene at all times – hand washing, sanitizing and social distancing
Clean and sanitize workplaces throughout workday and at the close of business or between shift
