COVID-19 Travel Alerts and Information
Last Updated Friday, July 22, 2022
While visitors and locals are no longer required to wear masks by the City of Columbus, on July 22, 2022, Columbus Public Health issued a mask advisory urging everyone to wear a mask indoors and in crowded areas regardless of vaccine status until further notice as Franklin County was moved to the high level of transmission on CDC's COVID-19 data tracker. Please also note that individual restaurants, attractions and businesses can choose to require specific health and safety practices on their premises (such as mask-wearing) based on what they believe to be best for their customers and businesses. Further information and details regarding COVID-19 guidelines can be found with the Office of the Mayor and Columbus City Council.
The Columbus community has shown incredible flexibility and resilience in navigating the COVID-19 pandemic, and health and safety will continue to be a top priority for Experience Columbus.
Questions about what to expect at a business, restaurant or attraction?
Easy ways to discern the policies and any temporary operating hours observed by a local business include checking the facility’s window signage, social media account and/or website. Further information and details regarding COVID-19 guidelines can be found with the Office of the Mayor and Columbus City Council.
Live Forward Pledge
Experience Columbus and many of the organization’s partner businesses have committed to the Live Forward Pledge and GBAC STAR™ Accreditation to provide confidence and peace of mind that safety guidelines are being followed. The Live Forward Pledge is a promise to follow federal, state, and local health and safety guidelines and therefore may change by definition (as those guidelines change). The Pledge remains a helpful indicator of customer peace of mind and health prioritization throughout the city.
