Inspired by our fall exhibition Mickalene Thomas: "I Can’t See You Without Me," this Super Sunday will feature Agape and Freedom, the Columbus-based founding divas of Cinnamon Suites Collective. The two artists will enrich Mershon Auditorium Lobby with live performances as well as hands-on, mixed-media creative stations that include fabrics, beads, paints, wood, and more. Drop in and enjoy the magic of healing through the arts!
Super Sunday is free for all audiences. This program includes all art studio activities, live music in Heirloom Café, and admission to the exhibition, with helpful roaming docents available to answer your questions in the galleries. Heirloom Café will be open and serving a limited menu of baked goods and beverages. Contact Jean Pitman at (614) 292-4614 or firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
Programs for children and families are presented with major support from Megan and Mark Kvamme.
Generous support for youth and family programs is provided by Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams and Heirloom Café.
The program is presented in conjunction with Columbus’s yearlong celebration "I, Too, Sing America: The Harlem Renaissance at 100." Find out more at cbusharlem100.org.
