Mondays in August at 6 p.m.  Since we curated our "Lesser Known Ford" film series last winter, it's only fair that we devote one to director John Ford's more famous works. Guess the titles using the clues provided. Call Circulation at 614-486-2951 for the answers.

8/07 Fort Apache (1948)  Henry Fonda (get used to the name, you'll be seeing a lot of it in this film series) and John Wayne star in the first film of Ford's so-called Cavalry Trilogy from 1948.

8/14 My Darling Clementine (1946)  The gunfight at the OK Corral never packed a bigger wallop than in this 1946 version, with Henry Fonda, Linda Darnell, and Victor Mature.

8/21 How Green Was My Valley (1941)  Best Picture Oscar winner from 1941 about a family of Welsh miners and their hardscrabble lives. Starring Maureen O'Hara, Walter Pidgeon, and Roddy McDowall.

8/28 The Grapes of Wrath (1940)  Ford and Henry Fonda bring John Steinbeck's great American novel to cinematic life in 1940. Ranked #21 on the American Film Institute's 100 Greatest American Films.
