Bruce McClure in person Visiting Filmmakers Thu, Nov 17, 2016 7 PM People are still talking about (and their ears are still ringing from) Bruce McClure's 2007 visit to the Wexner Center. For his projection performances, McClure loads custom-made film loops into specially modified projectors, then hooks them up to guitar effect pedals. The result is an expanded cinema performance that exists only at the moment of projection-and an experience that's almost impossible to describe. McClure joins us to premiere a new piece especially commissioned for the Wexner Center's projection equipment in the Film/Video Theater. (approx. 80 mins., 35mm, 16mm, and additional equipment) Stop by The Box to see his site-specific installation Inferring from Nonpresence (2016), on view through November.
