Lizz Bear is a multidisciplinary artist and craftswoman currently based in Columbus, Ohio, with a focus in ceramics. She uses language and text to communicate her ideas: specifically, her thoughts on absence, loss, and control.
As a recent graduate from Columbus College of Art & Design, she is determined to blur the line between Craft and Fine Art by creating highly accessible work that marries the ideas of concept and functionality.
Originally from Mansfield, Ohio, Aaron Troyer has been showing work in Ohio and beyond since receiving his BFA in 2006. In addition, he has worked as a special educator for Columbus City Schools, and spends an inordinate amount of time by himself recording music and experimenting with ink washes. Troyer creates multi-faceted works built around layers of watercolor, gouache, and ink washes. Collaged elements have become increasingly important to his process in recent years.
“My main goal is to compose uniques spaces that viewers can explore and, possibly get lost in.”
Aaron currently lives in Santa Ana, California, with his wife, dog, and two cats.
This exhibition is free and open to the public.
