Join us at the inaugural Columbus Fiery Foods Festival on Saturday, August 10, 2019 from 2 PM—10 PM at the Columbus Commons. The event will benefit the children's charity CD102.5 for the Kids and showcase the fiery side of life with restaurants, hot sauce and salsa vendors, and exhibitors from around the country.
The day-long celebration is the second festival collaboration between CD102.5 and MGN. "We're looking forward to producing another event together that fills a much-needed void in the central Ohio festival scene," said Mike Gallicchio, president MGN. Randy Malloy, president of CD102.5, echoed Gallicchio's sentiments and added, "Columbus is such a great foodie city and a festival celebrating all things hot and spicy has been needed for a long time."
Festival-goers can expect to satisfy their need for heat by sampling everything from BBQ to salsa to sweet treats with a kick from various restaurants, hot sauce and salsa makers, and other specialty vendors. The event will also feature a market with crafters and artisans.
Guests can also become part of the action by participating in the Local Salsa Competition, Hot Pepper Eating Contest, and Chili Cook-Off. Contest details will be posted on the Fiery Foods Festival Facebook Page starting June 1, 2019.
This is a ticketed event and all attendees must have a ticket to enter the festival grounds. Children under 12 welcome and free.
General Admission for the event is $30 per person. We do have early bird tickets for sale. Admission to the event includes an engraved fork, festival beer glass, food samples, and 2 (12 oz) beers or 2 nonalcoholic beverages if under 21 years of age.
