Dublin Area Art League Presents Leonardo Carrizo
DUBLIN, Ohio — The Dublin Area Art League’s March meeting will feature Leonardo Carrizo, a multimedia photojournalist who specializes in visual storytelling. Carrizo will talk about his journey as a photographer and will showcase images from this work. From his works as a photojournalist to his documentaries to his most recent work traveling and photographing people and cultures, Leonardo will cover different characteristics and abilities to being a photographer.
The meeting and artist talk, which are free and open to the public, will be held at the Dublin public library, on March 19, at 7pm.
After a short League’s business meeting, the guest speaker will start his fascinating presentation.
About the Artist : Leonardo Carrizo is a multimedia photojournalist who specializes in visual storytelling for a wide range of publications, individuals and organizations, including non-profits and NGOs. Currently, Leonardo lectures multimedia journalism, photojournalism, user experience design and visual communication design classes at The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. During the summers, he is a National Geographic Student Expeditions photography trip leader. This work with NatGeo takes him all over the world teaching photography skills to high school students. His most recent trips took him to Portugal, the Canadian Artic, Ireland and Iceland.

The Dublin Area Art League (DAAL) is a 501©(3) nonprofit organization that since 1985 supports and encourages its artist members through interaction with fellow artists, educates through workshops, demonstrations and lectures, and provides opportunities for the presenting local art to the community through multiple venues. DAAL is partially supported by the Dublin Arts Council through a Community Arts Grant to encourage community engagement, cultivate creativity and foster life-long learning through the arts.
