Fred Stein fled Nazi Germany and reinvented himself as a photographer in 1930s Paris. Later fleeing again to New York, he lived with a group of refugees and became one of the pioneers of street photography. This exhibition encompasses 70 photographs that compare the formalism and humanism of Stein’s unique style, giving a deeper understanding of his approach. This exhibition is organized by art2art Circulating Exhibitions.
