Never one to shrink from a fight, political or otherwise, Alexander Hamilton was killed at the age of 47 in a duel with vice president Aaron Burr. During this event, scheduled in conjunction with Worthington Libraries' exhibit "Alexander Hamilton: The Man who made Modern America," Dr. Nancy Isenberg, author of the book Fallen Founder: The Life of Aaron Burr, will discuss how the two men regarded each other and the events leading up to their fateful duel.

Dr. Isenberg, a history professor at Louisiana State University, is also the author of Sex and Citizenship in Antebellum America, which examines the origins of the women's rights movement, and Madison and Jefferson.

DINE & DISCUSS!

You can meet and have dinner with Dr. Isenberg prior to her presentation. Tickets for the 5:30 pm event, which is limited to 60 people, are $45 each.  Order by September 24. Dinner will take place in the MAC's Main Gallery, followed by the talk in the Bronwynn Theatre.
