Beeler Gallery presents the launch of second shelf, a collaborative book acquisition initiative that will be housed at the library of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp with a mirror site at Beeler Gallery and CCAD’s Packard Library. The project will acquire a new collection of books by female, non-white, and non-heterosexual artists. It’s part of a project organized by Brussels-based German artist Heide Hinrichs. Beeler Gallery Director of Exhibitions Jo-ey Tang serves as an advisor to the book selections for the library, and the selection at CCAD inspired by fierce pussy and the Harlem Renaissance. The event is free and open to the public and is part of Extra Art Sunday, an event that brings together downtown Columbus art spaces for a day of art. For more information, visit ccad.edu/calendar.
