This November, Brandt-Roberts Galleries will feature our annual solo exhibition of the works of Ohio artist Mark Gingerich, titled Color in Harmony. Gingerich's paintings have received national acclaim for their exquisite technique and unexpected, yet familiar subject matter. Recently, Gingerich was accepted into the highly-selective American Impressionist Society National Juried Exhibition for the third year in a row and is now considered a Signature Member of the society. Gingerich's current body of work continues his exploration of the effects of light and color on his natural surroundings. Continuing the practice of plein air painting at his home and studio in rural Ohio allows Gingerich to study how the changing light affects the chromatic tone of his subjects. His distinct palette knife paintings flourish with harmonious color in a way that melds inherent, time-honored painting principals with present day aesthetics. It is in this manner that Gingerich distinguishes himself as a contemporary painter whose works transcend traditional ideals and constructs. Color in Harmony will open on November 11th with an artist's reception from 5:30 to 8:00. This exhibit will be on view through January 2nd. This event is free and open to the public.
