Smokehouse Brewing Company will host their 14th annual Mini Real Ale Festival on May 13 at their Grandview brewpub.
The beer festival exclusively features cask ale, or ""real"" ale, which is unfiltered and unpasteurised beer served directly from the cask it is conditioned in, without added CO2. Breweries participating in this year's event include Actual Brewing, Barley's Brewing, Commonhouse Ales, Four String Brewing, Land-Grant Brewing, North High Brewing, Seventh Son Brewing, Weasel Boy Brewing, Wolf's Ridge Brewing, and of course Smokehouse Brewing.
The event also features a whole smoked hog, from which patrons can purchase pulled pork sliders - about as freshly ""pulled"" as is possible! Tickets to the event, which includes 12 tastings, a souvenir pint glass and a souvenir program, are only $25 at the brewpub or $27 online at http://smokehousebrewing.com.
The 14th Annual Mini Real Ale Fest will take place Saturday, May 13 from noon-3 p.m. This year's Fest falls during Columbus Craft Beer Week, which takes place May 12-20. Smokehouse Brewing is located at 1130 Dublin Road.
