On view: July 27 – August 19, 2018

Opening reception: Saturday, August 4   5 – 10 pm

"Northern Suns" is inspired by the 100th Anniversary of the Harlem Renaissance. Paired together for the first time are two sets of emerging and established talents: Annie Chrissy Burley and Aminah Robinson from Columbus, and Alteronce Gumby and Faith Ringgold from New York.

On view will be Robinson’s monumental Presidential ‘RagGonNon’ dedicated to Barack Obama and new work by Burley, who received her BFA in 2016 from the Columbus College of Art & Design. Also included are works by Ringgold on view for the first time in Columbus and new paintings by Gumby, curator of To Dream Avant-Garde, also in celebration of the Harlem Renaissance, opening in September at Hammond Harkins Galleries.

Please join us for "Northern Suns" in honor of one of the most culturally influential periods in American history.
