CCAD Canzani Center Auditorium (60 Cleveland Ave.)
The award-winning publication The Nib has gained attention for its sharp political and nonfiction comics on topics ranging from gender and race to free speech and what it’s like to have your mom charged with murder.
As part of Cartoon Crossroads Columbus (CXC), editors Matt Bors, Eleri Harris, and Matt Lubchansky will head to Columbus College of Art & Design on Saturday, Sept. 28, 2019, to discuss the origins of the publication and the importance of political and nonfiction comics in tumultuous times.
Plus, they’ll interview comics megastar Tom Tomorrow, and special guest cartoonists Rob Rogers, Chelsea Saunders, and Whitney Taylor will read from some of their latest work.
A book signing with the editors of The Nib will take place from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., followed by a book signing with Tom Tomorrow from 6:30 to 7:50 p.m. The presentation will begin at 8 p.m. A reception with snacks and a cash bar will follow at 9 p.m.
The event is free and open to the public. Books, issues, and memberships will be available for purchase.
