Now in our fifth year, Songwriter Showcase presents the finest national and regional singer-songwriters. Our host, Eric Gnezda, is an award-winning songwriter and creator of the American Public Television series, Songs at the Center, which airs on more than 150 stations across America, and features many of the artists who appear on our stage.

Mark Stuart grew up in Nashville, and has been performing professionally from age 15. His rock, blues, country, and folk mixture define his versatility. Mark has toured with Freddy Fender, Steve Forbert, Joan Baez, and Steve Earle (who became his brother in-law). Mark and his wife, Stacey, made her first album in 1998, Simple Gearle, touring hundreds of dates in the USA, Canada, UK, and Europe.

Whetherman, the moniker of independent singer-songwriter Nicholas Williams, artfully bridges American-made folk, blues, country, soul, and bluegrass with a timeless tinge. Returning to our stage, he has produced eight full-length albums, including the highly anticipated, This Land, to be released in June. His music aims at the heart center, with earnest and poetic lyrics.

JT Hillier, based in Central Ohio, began his career as a working musician at age 16. Since then he has nurtured his sound, blending pop, alt-country, folk and soul. Lyrical verses, a soulful vocal presence and finesse guitar playing are all crucial ingredients to JT's music, inspired by the works of contemporary singer-songwriters, from John Mayer to Ed Sheeran.

Host Eric Gnezda performs regularly at Nashville's famous venue for songwriters, The Bluebird Cafe, and was awarded the Ohioana Citation for Music Composition. Eric's latest CD is Songs of Hope in a Changing World.
