Getting and STAYING Motivated to Write
Instructor: Robin Yocum
You have a novel floating around in your head, but for reasons that you cant explain, you havent started typing. Or, you started work on a novel, but progress stopped. Edgar-nominated author Robin Yocum will lead a class on helping you get over the impediments that keep you from writing your first novel. Robin will teach you his method for not only starting a novel, but also for maintaining the momentum. This will include discussion on goal-setting, creating a beginning and ending, and the tricks that will keep you working to completion.
INSTRUCTOR: Robin Yocum is known for his fiction set in the Ohio River Valley. His next book, A Perfect Shot, will be released in April 2018. He is the author of two non-fiction books, and four additional works of fiction: A Welcome Murder, A Brilliant Death, The Essay, and Favorite Sons, which was named the 2011 Book of the Year for Mystery/Suspense by USA Book News.
Adult Writing Workshops are held on Mondays from 6:00 - 8:00 pm at Thurber Center, 91 Jefferson Avenue. Workshops are $50 each, or $45 if you choose more than one workshop. You must be 18 to participate. All registrations are non-refundable.
