Celebrate past, present, and future with Tour de Force, a triple-bill performance featuring three commanding choreographers and their avant-garde works that have captivated audiences around the world.  George Balanchine's Rubies, set to a jazzy Stravinsky score, carries a high-energy wit that matches well with the exuberance and swingtime rhythms of Jerome Robbins' Interplay.  Edwaard Liang's The Art of War presents dancers as warriors, with fierce determination and will, rounding out this electrifying and imaginative production.

Rubies   Dancers rhythmically move across stage as an ornamental gem sparkles from above in Balanchine's Rubies.  Celebrating its 50th anniversary, Rubies is one of three sections in Jewels, an ode to Balanchine's life-long friend and collaborator, Igor Stravinsky.  Choreographed in traditional Balanchine-Stravinsky style, Rubies uses feisty and playful movements to create a striking and entertaining work guaranteed to captivate audiences.

Interplay   Known for his celebrated choreography for the New York City Ballet and award-winning works On the Town, West Side Story, and Fiddler on the Roof, legendary choreographer Jerome Robbins has impacted and influenced artists and audiences alike for many years.  As Robbins' centennial anniversary approaches, the Company Premiere of Interplay showcases his feel-good choreography with loose joyful movements full of humor and jazz.

The Art of War   Named after the ancient Chinese military treatise, Edwaard Liang's The Art of War transforms dancers into warriors through strong, dominate movements.  Set to a score by Michael Torke and inspired by the controlled chaos of calligraphy, The Art of War is an international piece about determination and strength.
