Boston-based contemporary duo Transient Canvas (transientcanvas.com) features Amy Advocat on bass clarinet and Marion, Ohio native Matt Sharrock on marimba. "Wired" represents a portrait of technology’s integration into modern life. With musical inspiration ranging from Aphex Twin to electronic dance music, the program includes "Hyggelig" by Lainie Fefferman; "Somnambula" by Clintonville native Rudolf Rojahn; "solm" by Mischa Salkind-Pearl; "Year Without a Summer" by Kirsten Volness; "Branches" by David Ibbett; "Exergy Bubblebath" by Peter Van Zandt Lane; and the world premiere of a piece by Westerville native Dan VanHassel [commissioned by the Johnstone Fund].
Cocktails are available for purchase at 6:00 p.m. at Ethel’s Lounge, adjacent to the theater. Seating is available on a first-come first-served basis. Recommended for guests age nine and older.
