Vance Gilbert, a singer-songwriter with jazz roots and an affinity for telling stories through acoustic folk music, burst onto the Boston scene at open mics in the early 1990s. This former multicultural arts teacher now has 12 albums to his name and a duo recording with Ellis Paul. He has opened for Aretha Franklin, Arlo Guthrie, Anita Baker, George Carlin, Paul Reiser, and The Subdudes and has a tune on a Grammy nominated children's album.

The Young Novelists are singer-songwriters Graydon James and Laura Spink, whose most recent album, in city & country, celebrates both the richness and peculiarities of small towns and large cities. Hailing from Ontario, this married couple has toured in Canada, the United States, and Europe. Their music is know for effortless harmonies, darkly poetic lyrics, and exquisitely crafted hooks.
