The artist Roxy Paine gives a talk at the Canzani Center to mark the opening of his exhibition Roxy Paine: The Dioramas at Beeler Gallery. Paine is known for working with machines, fields, fungus and weeds, specimen cases, dendroids and, most recently, dioramas. His exhibition at Beeler Gallery includes room-sized sculptures that propose universal habitats, void of human figures. Paine will talk at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 13, at the Canzani Center Auditorium at Columbus College of Art & Design (60 Cleveland Ave.). The event is part of the Beeler Gallery Visiting Artists & Scholars Series and is free and open to the public. For more information, visit beelergallery.org.
