Chip Kidd, the graphic designer behind such iconic book covers as Michael Crichton's Jurassic Park, David Sedaris' Naked, Charles Burns' Black Hole, Donna Tartt's The Secret History, and hundreds of others, will talk about his career and work. Kidd's Ted talks about the impact of design and his approach to book covers are insightful, entertaining and really, really funny. In addition to his work at Penguin Random House, Kidd is also an editor and art director at Pantheon Graphic novels. Kidd will talk at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 20 at the Canzani Center Auditorium at the Columbus College of Art & Design (60 Cleveland Ave.).
