Workshop: Hammer Textured Dome Necklace

February 22, Thursday

6-8 p.m.

Learn to use a hydraulic press and pancake dies to create a metal shape in copper, brass, or sterling silver. We'll go over sawing and filing techniques to get your metal shape ready for texturing. Next, learn to use a variety of hammers to add texture to your piece. Then learn to use dapping tools to create a domed form. We will finish them off with a quick buffing and hang them from a silver or gold plated chain for you to wear home! When registering, choose from a copper, brass or sterling silver pendant.

All materials and tools will be provided.

Class is open to any student ages 14+.

Six seats are available for this class.

The Smithery Cancellation Policy:

Due to the small class sizes and demand for each seat, if you are unable to attend a class please notify us as soon as possible so we can allow for someone else to fill the seat.

Please note, we do not offer refunds for cancellations, but we can offer credit to be applied toward a future workshop based on the timeframe in which you have notified us of your cancellation.

If you need to cancel for any reason:

If you notify us at least 3 days prior to the workshop date, you will receive a 100% credit towards another workshop.

Less than 3 days notice, you will receive a 50% credit towards another workshop.

If canceled the day of the workshop or if you are a No-Show to class, you will not receive any credit.
