Workshop: INTERMEDIATE Silver Bezel Set Stone Ring
February 16th, Saturday
12 - 5pm
Instructor: Anne Holman & Jen Townsend
In this class, you will learn to make a sterling ring with a bezel set cabochon stone. First you will learn different methods to size your finger and determine how to make a ring sized to fit. You will be introduced to basic silver working skills as we each make a textured band ring from sterling silver sizing wire.
You will then learn how to make a bezel setting to fit a cabochon cut stone. Each student will select a round cabochon stone for their ring. We have a variety of colors and price points available to purchase the night of the class. Prices range from just a couple dollars to around twenty dollars each.
You will learn metal forming, silver torch soldering, bezel setting construction, stone setting, and different finishing techniques. The ring will be completed in class so you can wear it home.
All materials and tools will be provided, aside from the stone which may be purchased in store.
Class is open to students ages 16+.
Some experience in metal working is preferred for students taking this class. If you are interested in this class but have not done any soldering before, we reccomend taking one of our basic ring workshops first.
Class size maximum 5 students.
