Writing historical fiction or nonfiction can be challenging - how do you know your setting, dialogue and characters are true to life without going to back in time to see for yourself? Doing research at an archive can help get all the details right. In this hands-on workshop, learn to use different kinds of archival resources - letters, scrapbooks, newspapers, photos, sound recordings, etc. - to improve your story. The workshop also will include a tour of The Ohio State University Archives and will be led by Assistant Archivist Kevlin Haire, who also has worked as a public librarian and editor and reporter. The cost of parking is included in this workshop.
