What types of events can be hosted at the Columbus Welcome Center?

We will not be able to move merchandise off the floor, but we can move a couple of the displays to the side to create a larger footprint in front of the cash wrap.
What is the capacity?
Event Capacity for a reception is 60.
Event Capacity for presentation-style events is closer to 40.
What furniture is available?

We also own 10 cocktail tables that can be used at standing or sitting heights and 50 chairs. We can also supply black linen. There is an additional cost for the use of tables and linens.
Is there a cost to host my event at the Columbus Welcome Center?

Can Food and Beverages be served in the Columbus Welcome Center?
Yes! You may bring in your own food and beverage.
If you are serving alcohol, you will need to bring in a licensed and insured bartending company. If your event is open to the public, you will need to obtain an F2 permit.

When can I set up the event?
You may begin setting up one (1) hour before the event starts.
Can I bring in décor items?
The space is already decorated with Columbus-inspired artwork and merchandise, so we discourage bringing in a lot of décor. Please let us know what you plan to bring. Any outside décor must be freestanding—nothing can be adhered to the walls.
Glitter, confetti and helium balloons are prohibited.
Is there a loading dock?
Yes, there is a loading dock located off Russel Ave. There is no truck-level dock, so a truck ramp must be used. Times will need to be coordinated with Experience Columbus Staff for entrance into the building.
To reach the loading dock, turn West onto Russell St. from High St. Pass Woodhouse Vegan Restaurant. Between Woodhouse and the parking garage there is a driveway to pull into and park for loading and unloading.
